Access our Molecules for Research

The open innovation portal of Boehringer Ingelheim, opnMe.com, strives to further scientific progress in scientific discovery by providing research tools for free and opening new ways for collaboration with our researchers. Built upon the spirit of open science and collaboration, opnMe offers a collection of molecules that can be ordered by scientists for free or as part of collaboration calls. We also enlist expert scientific advice on key biologic issues to fuel further drug discovery and deliver novel solutions that benefit unmet patient needs.

  • Since its inception in 2017, the molecules offered on opnMe have supported researchers across 50 countries to test their novel hypotheses and unravel valuable information independently, as evidenced in 60+ peer-reviewed publications.

  • Over 50 partnerships have emerged from our 'Molecules for Collaboration' initiative, through which we seek novel disease hypotheses for one of our unprecedented and well characterized molecules as a call for collaboration, about twice a year.

  • As part of the opn2EXPERTS program started in 2020, opnMe received proposals from researchers in over 47 countries working on different therapeutic areas, including the Immunology & Respiratory domain.
